Biography of Daniel Toublanc Daniel Toublanc, born in Paris in 1936, discovered the works of the great Masters of painting and sculpture very early on, and he has been painting since his youth. He currently lives in Ile de France. After humanities, law and art history studies, the Louvre school and training in the restoration of old paintings, he left to fight in the Algerian war, then on his return he held responsibilities in the real estate and social housing. He also holds several jobs as a field social worker. At the same time, during his leisure time, Daniel Toublanc was keenly interested in the arts and hesitated for a long time between painting, sculpture, literature and music. Quickly he and his existence flow from Montparnasse to the Pont des Arts and from Montmartre to the Contrescarpe, where he frequents different workshops. Standing outside the norms, above classifications, this colorist of oil painting, then acrylic painting, first influenced by symbolism and surrealism, radically turns towards original personal creations where he claims complete freedom of expression. In the era of computing at the time of retirement, with the appearance of the microcomputer, he discovered digital painting, which gave him immense satisfaction in his pictorial creations with this new tool of creation. He will devote himself solely and definitively to the art of digital painting. His work was rewarded in 1999, 2002 and 2004 with silver medals from the Académie Internationale de Lutèce.
