Né &àgrave; St Denis à; a few steps from Montmartre, I often went to Place du Tertre to admire these artists who drew or painted in front of people
captivated by their talent.
At a very young age, I started to work. draw, mainly with charcoal.
Attracted through the expressions of a face, an attitude, an emotion, a posture giving way to suggestion and imagination.
I work at oil and mainly Van Dyck's Brown for the subject on colored backgrounds in order to favor lines and volumes offering true sincerity. where contrasts and light guide feelings, emotions and attitudes towards the essential, from this superposition is born a whirlwind of nuances and contrasts which sublimates the painting, giving it a natural side. timeless.
I work in mixed media it’s up to date. tell oil and acrylic. I sketch my subject on a dark background. acrylic and then I paint using acrylic. oil.
My backgrounds are abstract and colorful which highlights the monochrome and figurative subject by contrast. I work through transparency on certain parts in order to leave a side of the story. imaginary, dreamlike, a suggestion...
I also work with live models that I stage on an artistic level, which provides the basis for my work and allows me to imagine the composition around it.
