Most of them were done at night in oil and are the outcome of continuous work that has now lasted 15 years. After belatedly discovering Alfred Manessier’s and Jean-Paul Riopelle’s paintings in 2005, I realized that this work is part of a continuity. The creation of this portfolio was made possible thanks to meeting Pierre-Olivier Deschamps, who made the photographs. It coincides with my will to evolve, and my resolution to subject these paintings to new looks.
