I started small, with “scribbles” on a corner of a page, then on post-its. I repeated spirals, small lines in circles. infinity until’ what my support is transformed, for me, into an object of art. entirely part. A source of satisfaction to have filled this small empty space. À strength, my supports have become larger, more colorful; and more geometric.
I create cogs, friezes that complement each other. I completely cover each surface with paints and/or thousands of patterns drawn with a watercolor pen. ink.
I try to create optical illusions, or trompe l'oeil effects, to give the impression that one image is hiding another thanks to the illusion. the superposition of shapes and the contrast of colors.
I also try to play with dimensions, to play with the perception of shapes.
Today, my creations are more complex. I dare new figures and patterns, new combinations. I want to have a trace freer and less “right”.
The combination of different shapes and patterns creates new shapes, and that's what I like. The way we look at the painting can be different, whether we are looking at it or not. 30 cm or more 3m, and everyone can interpret it to their own liking. his way.
My approach requires a lot of patience: all the details are done carefully. by hand and each painting requires at least 30 hours of work.
