Discover the contemporary work of Didier Perthuison
Né in 1952, self-taught, he started with artist photography in the 1970s when he meets
César, Max Ernst, Niki de Saint Phalles, Jean Tinguely, Vasarely...with whom he learned and trained. He left photography for geometric art on canvas and in volume and exhibited notably at the Grand Palais in Paris and at the Parc Floral in Vincennes. Maturity makes him take a new turn towards what he calls «phony art» where he questions the place of contemporary art and the artist in relation to the world. He takes a critical look at the events that darken the world (battered women, migrants, wars...) while optimistically adding touches of color, formally by means of composite sculptures and a work on fragmented images. Now residing in the countryside not far from Cordes sur Ciel, he created a “museum garden” in which he gives free rein to his thoughts on society. of current consumption through a journey of sculptures mixed with plants. He thus cultivates his two passions.
