Do.M.Ju, born in 1962, lives and works in France, where he explored his passion for fashion and visual art since his teenage years. His career has led him to work for several major fashion brands such as Marithé et François Girbaud and Tommy Hilfiger as a Visual Merchandiser. In the 90s, he also ventured into creating jewelry from buttons and old beads.

It was in 2016 that Do.M.Ju discovered Instagram and began sharing photos that he transformed into using the Layout app and filters to create digital images that move away from reality and get closer to dreams.

In 2018, he started drawing, first with black markers and highlighters, then with promarkers on various formats. He also experiments with applying his drawings to fabrics and patchwork, a skill made possible by his training in sewing which he never forgot.

I mainly work on A3 and A4 formats with promarker markers and I also have an attraction to metallic colors like gold which is particularly present in my latest creations.

I always start by drawing simple shapes in pencil and I refine my line until I find the desired shape, which can take a lot of time, then I move on to the marker to dress the shapes and give a relief that I try to make unique to each drawing.
