After drawing and plastic arts lessons, painting with Oil was my hobby and a great discovery to become a passion in the years 1995 to 1995. 1998. This led me to win 1st prize in the Still Life category with my painting The Kitchen at the German Painting Competition in 1996, in 1998. Saarbrucken. A little over 250 artists were in competition from all over Europe. This was my 5th painting since my first debut. A surprise for me which confirmed me in my quest to make the light palpable and to invite the sharing of the atmospheres that I offer both in still life and in my landscapes. My masters are Cezannes, Pissaro, Monet, Sylsley, Delacroix, Boudin for his skies and many others...
My artistic training is modest, having followed plastic arts courses in middle and high school. With a scientific chemist background, I was interested in to the pigments and methods used by ancient classical painters on the preparation of supports, either on wooden panels or on canvas.
Being from the south, from the Aveyron, nature, the world of stones and architecture, the sea and southern landscapes with their materials and light are central subjects of my compositions.
I progress in stages, from the observation of the subject and the progressive installation by multiple touches leaving a certain freedom of movement. in relation to the real subject, sometimes mixing the pure colors on the canvas, then letting myself be drawn into the composition which gradually builds up. little.
It takes me several days to create a painting, or even weeks because I give the touches time to blend in...
The effects, shapes and palettes harmonize with each other. each step a little more to achieve balance. The one that I feel like the stadium leads to; do not exceed. Sometimes a wink at a great master can emerge in a detail. Everyone will find it.
