Discover the contemporary work of Emma Romeo

Born in 2001, Emma Romeo began her studies at the culinary school of excellence  Ferrandi Paris. She then reoriented herself towards art by doing a year of art prep before entering the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs  in Paris where she is currently in her second year of training in textile and material design.

I work on sensuality by illustrating flesh, whether human or plant, figurative or fantasized. My work is an autobiography where I expose my intimacy and my fascination for organic materials in movement.

This process gives birth to anthropomorphic chimeras with multiple textures and appearances. This is reflected through the use of various techniques such as film photography, weaving, latex work, painting, drawing, engraving or even cyanotype. The plurality of techniques allows me to have freedom of experimentation and different media that respond to each other.
