Discover the contemporary work of emmanuel POSSAMAÏ
I am borné in 1964 in the good town of Roanne, country of the Troisgros brothers and Michel Granger.
I have always been inventing, first by drawing when I was a child (airplanes, space vehicles, cars, rather all-terrain vehicles in fact) and then by drawing. adolescence, by making plaster and resin models and by tinkering with different objects (heated t-shirt and shoes, alarm clock radio, etc.) p>
After initial training at technical major: baccalaureate in electrical engineering, because I was particularly attracted to the field of engineering. through electricity, I chose to study Architecture for their cultural and artistic contribution. Which also allowed me to acquire a minimum of expressive techniques.
I never imagined I wanted to become an artist even though I thought I had certain characteristics such as curiosity, universal interest, and the desire to be artistic. to create things.
I think I can say that I became one through the act of producing and then exhibiting my productions, and also through the act of thinking about what I can do. what I create and why.
The why is actually an answer: an answer to what a compelling inner need to concretize, to exteriorize, to give life to the idea-objects that present themselves spontaneously to our minds. my mind during journeys or in a half-sleep when waking up or going to bed.
Once the sketch(s) have been made so as not to lose the idea, the most difficult part remains to be done. do: find the materials, techniques and colors to achieve what you want what was done sketched.
My sculptures have several characteristics:
The majority of them are luminous, because they are imagined like this, which I explain by the belief that a sculpture made in this way is complete: it agglomerates matter and energy .
