Discover the contemporary work of Emmanuel Tardy
Born in Burgundy, it was the oceans that won me over. Between 1998 and 2005, I participated in several scientific projects at the Mingan Islands Marine Mammal Research Station in Canada and took part in expeditions to the Sea of Cortez, Norway and Patagonia. After several stays in the Azores, I accompanied eco-volunteers to Pico Island as a naturalist guide for a season.
Today, I continue to travel the world at the search for encounters with local wildlife. From Finnish bears to Amazonian insects, each observation is an emotion where man and animal consider each other. Photography allows me to raise awareness of the beauty of the inhabitants of our planet. My goal is to share my knowledge, passion and experience of naturalist travel.
But the best is yet to come... My next trip promises new encounters!
Revealing the wild soul. My artistic approach aims to capture the deep essence of wildlife through chiaroscuro portraits. By playing with light and shadow, I seek to reveal the mysterious beauty and unique personality of each animal encountered during my travels.
