She hopes through her painting to touch those who will be led to contemplate her works, to arouse emotions, feelings, memories, desires or ideas in the viewer...
“My first sources of inspiration were horses, done in oil and brush, fascinated by this noble animal whose elegant appearance and presence command respect and admiration. I began a series of figurative portraits, attentive to detail and the attitude to be rendered, between balance and realism... to naturally switch to a more personal and colorful representation, acrylic painting.
I also like to express myself through portraits of Buddhas, attracted by the serenity and fullness that this subject exudes, which I enjoy studying and representing.
I also approached the theme of dance during a partnership for music auditions.
I then started to explore theabstract withacrylic, whose artistic approach particularly attracts me, fascinated by the infinite perspectives to be expressed through this subject: painting instinctively, with diverse and varied tools, provides a sensational freedom of expression...
I like to shape thematerial, to give birth to forms, harmonize colors, explore possibilities.
My creations are improvised, my gestures spontaneous. When I paint, the canvas evolves under my fingers according to what I feel, according to my intuition. My emotions are represented by energy, movement, under the impulse of the moment, letting the instruments go as they please. of my desires, my impulses.
I use various instruments, ranging from fingers to brushes, including knives, playing with a spatula, handling a cloth here, pressing a squeegee there, projecting or caressing the paint with force or gentleness for a varied result. In search of an inner climate, I seek to translate my universe, that of dreams, of the imaginary, of the unknown... Creating is a never-ending journey, between shadow and light, which allows you to move forward. It is a form of freedom.
Over the course of the paintings, through practice, my style has naturally asserted itself... Between abstract and gestural expressionism, my painting is close to lyrical abstraction, I express my emotions through my painting. My gestures are both random and controlled, a letting go accompanied by a coherent approach in the construction of my compositions, approaching informal artby spontaneity, the expressive use of matter, without knowing in advance what forms I am going to represent or what colors I am going to use... I have no preconceived idea, the subject is born under my fingers, as it goes along... I become one with the canvas, a sort of dialogue is established with it, a symbiosis that allows the accomplishment and realization of my deep self, the expression of my personal identity, which gives life to the work.
Fulfilling myself through painting has a liberating side for me.By nature, I express myself through through the creative impulse that drives me, letting my impulses emerge, the energy of my emotions, represented in my compositions by a central core that is often the starting point for my creations.
Inspired by life, nature … my universe sometimes represents a kind of unreal landscape, where a sky and clouds seem to appear. The elements: water, earth, fire, wind... express heat, movement, strength... The shapes, the colors, unite with gentleness or vigor. Some see a flower, a butterfly, a waterfall, a firework... Everyone can have a subjective vision, interpret what they see through the colors, shapes, matter and feel what comes from it...
I hope, while having fun, to touch those who will be led to contemplate my works, arouse emotions, feelings, memories, desires or ideas in the viewer. Each of my paintings is a call to dream, to imagination and to contemplation. Art is subjective, everyone has their own way of seeing, of feeling. I like this openness that it offers to the mind, these infinite possibilities.
I then began to to create creations between abstract and figurative, with a series of portraits, in black and white and in color, always in a contemporary style... Finding a balance between realism and imagination, with attention to detail for facial expression combined with a letting go for the other elements of the composition, notably through improbable hairstyles or simply suggested bodies... Painting the woman to put her at honor, in all its splendor: sensitive, provocative, captivating, mysterious, romantic, melancholic, energetic, eccentric, sensual, timeless, skin flower...This series pays tribute to essential female icons: Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Frida Kahlo, Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot …
Lately, Iworked on a series covering cult characters and superheroes: creations made entirely with a brush and a knife from an abstract background, to which I integrate the character, leaving parts visible to have an effect of transparency, dynamism, fusion...
At the moment, I am devoting myself to the theme of landscape, inspired by nature, the sky, colors and light, painting from personal photos taken during walks in the countryside around my home in Isère... »
