My artistic creation began at the age of 50 with the chance discovery of a talent for sculpture, terracotta. Self-taught in this field - "I knew how to do it" - I launched myself. After 6 years I began to exhibit, to sell for a few years, I gave a few courses.
In parallel, and secondarily, I wanted to discover painting, I followed evening classes for 4 years in 2 art schools. I developed first mainly oil then acrylic and today I am launching into watercolor.
Initially my paintings were largely figurative. I only started exhibiting in 2023, after having been led to launch myself into abstract.
The abstract paintings that I will exhibit on this site are part of a series of "blues", following the discovery of the painter Zao wou ki, during a retrospective which inspired me a lot.
My creation is actually quite laborious, in the sense that I could stay months without being able to create because of blockages...
Each painting is a journey that can last more or less time. I am inspired by nature. I generally start with lines drawn on the canvas, which draw a composition, which can be modified. It is a journey into the unknown: I do not know what the final painting will be...
