Evelyne Chevallier worked on for 20 years in the world of photography as producer, head of photo department, project manager, journalist, iconographer.
In 2010 during a trip to northern Argentina, she decided to settle there for a few years. Face to face the Andes, it is the fascination for such a powerful nature, the recurring solitude in the mountains. this life in the desert, and the discovery of these words « graffitied » which encourage him to find an escape: digital photocollage.
A job – passion that has become permanent which initiates in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Bolivia followed its path in France, àgrave; New York, at Montreal and Madrid to this day.

I photograph landscapes, flowers and architecture as well. And at the same time, all street writing:  graffiti, stencils, stickers, logos, signs, advertisements that I encounter to create photos - collages. When I talk about graffiti, I am talking precisely about solitary, political, poetic or philosophical phrases graffitied on the walls of towns and villages. They are becoming increasingly rare today in favor of works by street artists.

These photo collages are my first photographic works.
During the pandemic and its confinements, I stay at home. I spent another year in a row in Argentina, and my work has, as a result, evolved a lot.
From very talkative collages, I moved on to simplicity, almost desert, both literally and figuratively. On one side; I reduce graffiti as much as possible in my collages and on the other hand I photograph more and more of these exceptional landscapes that I am lucky enough to encounter.
