Discover the contemporary work of Mkinsi FANIDA
By pure chance, Ms. Fanida Mkinsi falls in love with a work of art painted with a knife. Without any logic, she feels that it is in this form of expression where she can find herself. It was a deep conviction, and very quickly it became a reality. In 1990, a miracle happened. The Moroccan television channel 2M broadcasted a program on painting with a knife technique by artist Nancy KOMINSKY. Fanida took the opportunity to record all the episodes and then she was repeating over and over each of Nancy themes. Thereafter, she took drawing lessons at the French Cultural Center. After this long-term training, Ms. Fanida Mkinsi created her own style and chooses its themes and colors. In fact it is mainly typical landscapes, Skies, Seas or Sun Sets. But Fanida has a special touch that distinguishes her from the other Moroccan Impressionist, a kind of life inspired by the artist's canvas, perhaps a new tone or a more deep natural colors. The art critics have called her "painter of light" because of her paintings, which reveal a unique brightness. Her paintings are an impetus to the sublime, a prayer and an anthem to celebrate nature and creation. She is distinguished by her mastery of the painting with the knife. Bank Al Maghrib elected Ms. Fanida MKINSI “Woman of the Year 2008”. Impressionist and impressive, Ms. Fanida MKINSI marked several artists to the point where they have not hesitated to convert to her technique and style, even those with a half-century career in the field, not beginners. Such behavior is too significant for all those who appreciate her painting at its fair value. Her valuable paintings are highly sought and requested in the galleries. They are part of the personal collection of the most seniors of the country. Ms. Fanida Mkinsi is one of the few people who had the presence of mind to make a legal deposit of her works. And yet, Ms. Fanida Mkinsi painted in the shadows since 1990. She was neither searching for fame nor making profit. There was a real loving relationship between the artist and her work. When she paints, she becomes disconnected completely from reality to only follow here own emotions. The first exhibition of Ms. Fanida Mkinsi was in 2003 and the credit goes to her friends that almost forced her to publish her work of art. The success was immediate and surprising. And since then she was present in several exhibitions. She still preserves a certain modesty and discretion through her modesty model. Finally, how to end this portrait without mentioning the support she provides to the poor and abandoned children. An action that confirms, if necessary, the status of Fanida MKINSI. A Great lady of the Moroccan painting.
