Self-taught, I started painting at the age of 30. Before that, I practiced a high-level sport (fencing) which left little room for other activities.
Retired since December 2023, I can now devote all of my time to painting.

Like most artists, I started by painting (in oil) still lifes, landscapes, people and scenes from life. But I must admit that this path did not particularly appeal to me.

I very quickly preferred to give free rein to my imagination, to construct and elaborate my paintings in a more personal way by associating paints and different techniques. The Parisian exhibition at the end of 2008 by Jacques Villeglé was a revelation for me and guided me that I had to include collages in my paintings.

So I moved towards new creations, combining oil and acrylic painting, but also sticking all sorts of objects, posters, cardboard or re-cut papers on my canvases.

My creations are made according to two principles:

• A personalized canvas based on photos, objects, references, themes or situations shared in advance with the person to who the canvas will be intended for
• A canvas based on a theme chosen based on current events, a feeling, a word or any other area.
