FHR Dreamtime

As a teacher by profession, I have always been interested in artistic production.

First interested in Aboriginal Dream Time and then having broadened my field of creation to techniques using epoxy resin, the inclusion of various materials, wood, stone, gold leaf, I currently specialize in the production of works that are intended to be both decorative, design and artistic.

Artistic approach

Aboriginal Dreamtimes are over 20,000 years old. It is the oldest art that has survived to this day with the same techniques, rites and codes.

For the Aborigines, Dreamtimes have a sacred character; they tell the story of the passage of men in this world. They are also a representation of the universe and a form of connection with it.

Dreamtime tells of life on earth and imagines the organization of the universe. For the Aborigines, the representation of the dreamtime is a bridge between two worlds.

In their earthly life, the Aborigines refuse to leave their mark on nature; they systematically erase them "perhaps an ecological awareness before its time"; the only visible trace of their earthly passage is expressed symbolically in their artistic productions. The symbiosis of man with nature is therefore at the center of their vision of the world. Massacred without resistance by the white settlers, they leave it to fate or a higher order. What must happen is already written, this is also what dreams tell.

Having long been fascinated by the magic, originality, mystery, and colors of these paintings, my approach revolves around the production of personalized works. They are inspired and dedicated to a place or a person.

I am thus as much part of decorative art as in a classic pictorial production.

Even if the Dreamtime remains my main source of inspiration, I do not forbid myself any transgression, any digression, any mixture of techniques with other pictorial universes.

My paintings are witnesses of moments, of encounters, they are created for very diverse places. Also, my supports are extremely diversified: stretched canvas, wood, glass, steel etc...

Both the result of the emotion that inspired them and actor of it, my works hope to transcend the place and the spectator by releasing a new harmony and thus creating a new dream.
