BIOGRAPHY
I have always enjoyed being outdoors. But since I first had the idea of taking a camera with me a long time ago, what was once a hobby has become a real passion. The beauty of nature gives me joy. Capturing my own view of it with a camera and sharing it with others makes me happy. When I was 10 years old and was allowed to hold an 8mm film camera and the first analogue camera in my hand, the photography fever was awakened in me. I looked closely over my father's shoulder and quickly learned that it could become a great hobby, or maybe even more. The first emotional snapshots I took were of my little daughter. In the darkroom, I was always amazed at the great results - it was an exciting process, and at the same time a good elementary photography school! Growing up in my grandfather's glassworks and picture shop, I saw that works of art always have to be presented in a suitable setting. At the University of Leipzig, I studied art and musicology, the basis for combining music and art professionally. When the photography world was still discussing the sense and nonsense of digital photography, I dared to try out my first Kodak digital camera very early on. Photography courses with many professional photographers in Iceland, Mallorca, America, Australia and Germany enriched my knowledge. Photo adventure trips took me to the most remote parts of the world. The whole world is a work of art; if you look closely, you will discover incredible beauty, bizarre lines and shapes and the most diverse play of colors. Photo tours through nature greatly sensitize the perspective of this world. Capturing my own view of it with the camera and sharing it with others makes me happy. My portfolio includes annual art calendars from Mallorca, Iceland, Canada, Alaska, Australia, etc. and photo calendars for the energy company 'Vattenfall'. I designed: oversized glass pictures for 'Best Western hotel bathrooms', special prints for kitchen splashbacks, won several photo competitions, e.g. for Polish postcards with animal motifs in 4 seasons, calendar 'Lausitzer Neuland' initiated by the landscape conservation association and in numerous design houses, Mallorca fincas and restaurants, special HD metal prints with my photos hang.
Just as soothing melodies in music delight people, in photography it is the warm play of colors that can arouse emotions when viewed. A successful photo is one that has been deliberately chosen, it is a "magic moment" or a moment that one has waited a long time for. I want to make visible the hidden variations that nature holds. First-hand experience - that is my second language. Because I attach particular importance to the perfect presentation of my pictures, I print all photos in my own art printer. Large gallery prints all come from an excellent art workshop in Germany. It has been awarded the TIPA World Award several times as the best photo lab in the world. All prints in the permanent photo exhibition on the historic pier in the Kaiserbad Ahlbeck/Germany, on the island of Usedom, also come from this printing company. I spent a long time thinking about what could be shown in the middle of the art metropolis of Palma in the Galerie d'Aguaris' (Spain-Mallorca). I have divided the exhibition into thematic areas: Reality Landscape, Light Paintings and ICM Photography. I am delighted that I can present my pictures in a permanent vernissage not far from the old town. My high-quality HD metal prints hang in many hotels, restaurants and fincas. The special thing about them is that they can withstand the harsh sea air climate outdoors.
