Discover the contemporary work of Francis Heintz
My teaching activity allowed me to rub shoulders with the world of artists through internships and artistic classes that I regularly organized with my students. It was only when I retired that I dared to take the plunge...
Attracted, at first, by plastic painting, I never stop experimenting with various techniques. I love contemporary painting in all its forms.
I live and work in the north of Alsace.
I regularly participate (between 10 and 15 per year) in various artistic events in the form of individual or collective exhibitions. They are mostly regional, but also go far beyond the framework of Alsace (other French regions, Germany, Luxembourg). I also had the pleasure of seeing one of my works as a cover illustration for the novel "Two Little Lead Soldiers" by the writer Marieke Aucante, a senior reporter at FR3.
My work is mostly within the framework of a theme.
"From dusk to dawn", "The memory of water", "Traces and signs", "From our roots to our rites", "Zen attitude", "Emotions" or "Ghandi, the pacifist" are the main themes addressed in recent years.
My supports: sandblasted canvas backgrounds with inlays of copper patterns or other objects.
I work mainly in oil painting. oil, whether with a brush or a knife.
