Discover the contemporary work of Franck Thomas

Creative since childhood, my father being himself a Sunday artist, I bathed in the good smells of oil painting. In the 80s I received academic drawing lessons in order to become an illustrator, I also worked in photography, then in the 90s, I created a graphic design studio that I managed for more than 25 years.

Today having stopped this activity I have returned to painting.

My work represents an imaginary world, a very colorful universe in the spirit of comics and a naive world. Here is a broad outline of what represents me.
I was influenced by the fathers of free figuration such as Francky Boy, Rémi Blanchard, Hervé Di Rosa, Robert Combas, Speedy Graphito, François Boisrond and many others.

I live in Brittany in Lézardrieux, Côtes d'Armor.

I mainly paint with acrylic paint an imaginary world or cartoon and comic book characters, fantastic animals like dinosaurs, without forgetting the Krab brothers who cross paths there according to my imagination. All in a very colorful universe where you will often see the sea, this sea which is very present in my adopted Brittany.
