My artistic approach is deeply inspired by my passion for nature, countryside landscapes, seaside landscapes, and urban scenes, as well as by my love for birds. As an artist and author, I have chosen to express myself mainly through through painting oil, watercolor and drawing. I also make engravings with different techniques, etching, aquatint and helioengraving on copper. Throughout my career, I have always had a particular look and admiration for the Impressionists, such as Pissarro, Sisley, Monet and Corot, while adding my own personal touch. My goal is to transmit the emotions that I feel about the places I encounter, by capturing the soul of the landscapes and the birds that inhabit them.
Before applying the first brushstroke, I begin by carefully observing my subject. Whether it is a field of wheat; golden, a beach bathed in light, or a lively street, I seek to discover understand the nuances of light, color variations and details that make each place unique. When I draw birds, I also observe their behavior, movements and individual characteristics.
I carefully prepare my workshop by choosing the appropriate media according to my artistic intention. Painting Oil allows me to play with texture and depth of colors, while watercolor allows me to create effects of transparency and lightness. My tools, brushes and colors are carefully selected for each project.
From time to time, I decide to leave my studio to paint from life, outdoors. This allows me to capture the instantaneity of life. light and colors, but also to feel the direct connection with my subject. I choose places that particularly inspire me, whether rural landscapes, secluded beaches or busy streets.
I create artistic compositions inspired by impressionist principles, using expressive brushstrokes and playing with light and shadow. When I draw birds, I try to find something new. integrate them harmoniously into their environment, capturing the interaction between nature and wildlife.
Once my work is completed, I want to share my emotions with the public. Whether at through online publications or meetings with other art enthusiasts, I seek to create new ideas. bring my creations to life and bring them to life invite spectators to feel the beauty and the poetry of the places I explored.
