In 1980, a serious traffic accident caused him to stay for very long months in a rehabilitation center where he spent several months in a rehabilitation center. Through occupational therapy, he came into contact with the visual arts as a medium for his rehabilitation. Clay modeling retrains his upper limbs, wood sculpture teaches him how to stand again; drawing and painting help to regain psychological balance. A new mental and physical life is being built and will become an energy, a driving force, sources of inspiration for future creations.

It will also be the start of artist meetings; one of them, Célestino de Souza (Brazilian) offered to paint with him. He will then never leave this artistic universe.

Through his painting, we must read a strong commitment against human stupidity but also the wealth and intelligence of men; his painting can signify the difficulties of life but also its beauties.
