Art, a reflection of its time, must be a mirror of human diversity. Yet, the standards of beauty that dominate our collective imagination are still too often those forged by the West.

While inclusion has broadened this spectrum somewhat by integrating people of color, one community remains woefully underrepresented: Asians.

It's time to break these chains, deconstruct these narrow standards, and introduce and integrate the beauty of Asian women into the collective imagination, beyond folkloric clichés.
