Mixed media includes all works of art that incorporate a variety of materials and components in a single piece. Mixed media art is a work of art that combines acrylic paint with fabric and paper. Scrapbooking, sketchbooks, decoupage, greeting card design, and mixed media art journals are just a few examples of projects in which mixed media can be used. This artistic style dates back to the cubist creations of Pablo Picasso from 1912 to 1914, the root of the term itself, in its aesthetic sense, goes back to the artist Jean Dubuffet in the 1950s.

Lucy est un crâne ayant la particularité de renfermer une géode d'améthyste dont tous les cristaux convergent vers une boule dorée semblant flotter dans l'espace formé par la cavité. Ainsi est représenté le pouvoir de l'esprit, la concentration de l'énergie vers un but ultime. Découvrir ce qui n’est pas à la portée du premier venu… Qu’après avoir voyagé, s’être perdu, rectifié son itinéraire voir enfin apparaître la pierre lumineuse au bout de longs, pénibles et exaltants efforts.
