Discover the contemporary work of Frédérique Nanjod
Born in a valley in the mountains of Haute Savoie in November 1966,
I have been attracted to drawing and painting from a very young age.
After studying artistic makeup I became an assistant
Denis St Seauvage (body painter), then makeup artist for" Club Dorothée" in the 80s.
In 1990 I left the television sphere to enter an apprenticeship in the art restoration workshop of Jacques Charmilles (former curator of the museum St Denis)
Since that day I have been practicing the restoration of old paintings in parallel with pictorial research. Research that leads me to creation sp;  ; d' an "ArboretOhm" ,a garden of Human Trees
It’s the search for purity who guides me:
Beauty of movement, the grace of the invisible being, the fair and true line, the interior light I love to think that artists have a duty to offer beauty to the world, to reveal poetic emotions, to make people want to, to question oneself, to “stop” to reflect, in the awareness that it is necessary to see beauty in order to carry beauty within oneself.
