Discover the contemporary work of Gaëtan Jolly

Self-taught artist who started his first paintings in 2018. I am mainly inspired by street art and pop art.

My paintings are all brightly colored, the aim being to attract the eye, not to be indifferent, to bring joy and to give pep.

Since 2021, I have been attending the painting fairs in the Rouen region in Normandy.

I won several public and municipal awards.

I mainly do portraits and animals.

I pay particular attention to working with the gaze to convey an emotion.

I use acrylic paint and spray paint.

The canvas begins with the creation of a background with impulsive and instinctive gestures.

Its features, shapes that intertwine then reappear in my subject that I add on top.

I then rework my background to bring out my face and create contrast.
