Discover the contemporary work of gilles quere

After more than 15 years of work as a sculptor, following a disabling illness; Lyme disease, no longer able to work in volume, I return to my first loves, collage and painting.

Returning to this language is very energizing, I want to communicate it to the viewer, for them to make it their own. Being able to move, superimpose, juxtapose, find harmony with this emotional alphabet is like a writer looking for the right word, which sometimes requires long reflection, made of erasure, displacement, and composition different from their phrasing.

In this series of collages, each time we delve into it, we discover new elements and details; a shade of color, a line, a shape that we hadn't noticed the previous time.
