Discover the contemporary work of Gilles AUBERT

Gilles Aubert born in Champagne Ardennes France in 1976. Since the age of 12, he was fascinated by automobiles and often drew the cars of his dreams. Later, while studying in college to become a mechanical engineer, he discovered how to view the world around him using the principles of depth and perspective. Drawn forward by his love for design, mixed with his fascination for curves, shapes, and depth, he enters into the world art in 2002. Guided by his first paintings, based on colourful geometric designs, he opened his unconscious mind, and his long journey of exploration commenced. During this time of exploration, he tried different mediums and styles, finally finding a preference for oil while finding inspiration in the works of the great impressionists. Using this inspiration, he created colourful works of art depicting scenery and landscape from all over the world.To further teach himself of portraits and gain an understanding of proportions and how to harness the richness and diversity of colour, he studied and copied the works of the great master painters. In doing so, he was cultivating his own style and continuing to explore his love for painting. In 2005, Gilles next journey began when he discovered a new creative passion: the female body. Portraying live images of the body’s ability to capture light, while expressing modesty and beauty are his priority. Displayed here is an intimate expression of the world through this painter’s eyes.
