Discover the contemporary work of GuiguiPOP

My name is Gaetan Le Galloudec aka GuiguiPOP. I was born in 1972 in Hennebont, Brittany, France.

I am a self-taught painter, I started painting in 2007, at my home near Rennes.

I have always been creative and painting was for me the best way to express my artistic sensitivity.

Inspired by the artistic movement of the new realism of the 60s, I create vibrant and expressive works using mixed techniques.

Driven by the desire to surprise the viewer, I adopt different techniques depending on the works I undertake.

My approach is colorful and dynamic, and through the use of several mediums, I highlight the beauty in chaos.

My latest work consists of deconstruct and recontextualize old "Paris Match" magazines.

By merging the ephemerality of magazines, ink, acrylic and spray paint, I created two new series called "Assembled Worlds" and "Tears". They were exhibited at the last Mordelles amateur artists' fair in December 2024.
