Hélène Battaini is a French artist who studied Italian art and literature at University from Ca'foscari in Venice, Italy.
À 23 years old, he went to live in the Middle East. She traveled from Lebanon to Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Sinaï and in Türkiye. In Israel, he has his two daughters.
In 2020, she created his workshop-gallery in the heart of the city of Montpellier, in the south of France: the Studio d'art du cactus rouge.
She is self-taught, a free spirit and a feminist.
She still travels and works with Bedouin women and recently completed a degree in ecology.
Mainly inspired by through spirituality, sociology and his thoughts and feelings about the world and people.

As a visual artist, my artistic approach is part of the diversity of my work. media, exploring painting, sculpture, embroidery and watercolor. My artistic work is deeply rooted in nature. in engaged reflection, addressing political, sociological, ecological and feminist questions. My creations are the reflection of a constant dialogue with the world around me, resulting from my experiences and my observations during significant travels, particularly abroad. across the Middle East, from Turkey to China Egypt, via Lebanon and Sina.
The essence of my works lies in the fusion of contemporary themes with ancestral artistic techniques. I immerse myself in traditional artisanal skills, revitalizing them
through my own contemporary interpretation. This exploration of ancestral techniques is not limited to; a simple aesthetic approach, but constitutes an act of cultural preservation and a celebration of the richness of traditions.
A crucial dimension of my artistic commitment lies in the responsible use of materials. I strive to recycle and integrate discarded materials. available, thus placing my work in a perspective of responsibility. social and ecological. This cohesion with contemporary issues strengthens the scope of my creations by establishing a link between artistic aesthetics and the concerns of our time.
