Since 2015 I have been making works on canvas, mixed media, installations, drawings-collages, acrylics, oils, watercolors, modeling, design, photographs and computer graphics.
Among other things, I practice painting outdoors, in the great outdoors, renewing the tradition of 19th century painters who came to capture the diversity of the landscapes of the Alpes Mancelles, where I live.
In some of my works, the color must fill the support, I want it to overflow, to express itself by overflowing onto the form.
Color becomes a direct emotional language.
It must come to the encounter with the viewer and give the code of a language that challenges us and moves us.
The color observed in our environment must come out of its framework, it must come to take a new place, bringing a new dialogue, specific to creation and in accordance with the observed and recognizable forms.
The color, bright, is taken directly from the paint tube, and it keeps all the force of the emotion that it gives us.
I want living works, with bright and contrasting colors, with areas of friction, erasures, relief, traces of the artist's passage and mark of a temporality.
It is in the expression of this primary language that new forms appear and lead us towards a more metaphysical representation.

2018 - New: I am turning to a more minimalist approach by working on a new series at acrylic or oil, always figurative, with simple, symbolic compositions, where color plays an important role, flat tints of bright and primary colors are favored. The link with childhood remains important. The formats are small, the price affordable. Larger formats encourage us to understand an abstract language where we observe almost dotted recognizable figures, sometimes in silhouette or filigree for a constructed narration, in harmony with a richness of color that gives all its expressiveness.
I am returning to an approach that corresponds more to my initial training and my choice of expression when I met the visual arts.
