Igor Bitman, French painter and photographer of Russian origin.

Born in Moscow in 1953. Studied at the School of Fine Arts. Flee the Soviet Union in 1980. After living in Italy and Canada, he settled permanently in France in 1987.

Exhibits regularly in art galleries in France, Italy and the Netherlands.
Numerous personal exhibitions.
Several distinctions, three prizes from the Institute including the Grand Prix du portrait 1995.

Photography has always been with me, from the beginning of my career as a painter. It often served as a sketchbook, thus playing an important role in the development of my paintings. But for the past ten years, encouraged by by some well-known photographers, I allowed myself to do so. to free my photographic work from my painting.
