A photographer for over 15 years, I explore developments in contemporary creation with a committed eye. I began my sensitive and technical training at the Atelier Nomade photography school directed by Claude SIMON.

I then evolved as a production photographer in various fields such as music, forum theater or cinema.

Later my projects took on a more assertive sociological dimension since I participated in many artistic experiences in collaboration with the Ministries of Justice or Culture, for cultural mediation.

Recently I participated in the artistic project in public space "TOI SANS QUI LE MONDE" by the Cie l'Entaille, for a "carte blanche" and a production of 1637 photos.

I am working to free myself from institutional photography. It is through a singular look and open to the multiplicity of encounters that I envisage a sensitive performative photography and highlighting each contrast of the world.

Artistic approach

“My photographic practice is in its essence a wonderful journey of life, supported by my emotions and my sensitivity towards humanity. And it is in the art of portraiture that I have found a rich and complex means of communication, nourishing my desires for encounters and sharing.

For each of my portraits, the choice of subject or audience is decisive in the conception of the final work. Due to this consideration, I often work with a film camera, entering into a relationship with time that I consider more fair with respect to the models.

Even today, it is complicated for me to divide the background from the form in the works that I create. Thus my technical achievements complement a strong sensitivity, allowing me simple achievements, for a precise, mastered result that I want to be masterful.

I create by being inspired by humanist artists, like Diane Arbus who, with this quote, offers words to the aesthetics sought after in my work as a portrait painter. »

« For me, the subject of the image is always more important than the image. And more complex. I have a certain feeling for photography, but it is not a sacred feeling. I think what it really is is what it is about. It has to be a photo of something. And what it is about is always more remarkable than what it is. »
