Discover the contemporary work of Isabelle Camps
It was in Africa, in Togo, that I began working in photography in 2010. I cut my teeth in advertising. Back in France in 2017, I got involved in events. At the end of 2018, I graduated from CADASE in audiovisual technology.
As an independent photographer since 2019, I devote myself entirely to my artistic practice. I realized my first series Demain les Plantes in 2020 then created in 2021, Danse avec la Vent which is exhibited at the Chambre07 Festival in Ardèche. In 2022, I participated in the Rencontres photographiques d’Aubenas. At the same time, I collaborated on the last three editions of the FOTO ARICA Photography Festival, where I curated the International Salon of this Chilean festival.
In 2023, I obtained the Certification of Author Photography at the ENSP Arles.
In 2024 I go to Chile, to Arica, to host the FOTOARICA festival congress on the theme of AI and photography.
The artistic act at the heart of my photography practice.
Influenced by Alfred Stieglietz and the pictorialist movement - I deeply believe that photography is part of the arts - and this idea:
‘Of the chaos of this world and our relationship to this chaos’,
I understand photography as an experiment, an exploration.
To go further .. to reinforce the meaning of my work, of my photographic series. Conceptualize.
