Discover the contemporary work of Isabelle Cotillard
I live and work in Grenoble.
I have a CAP in stonemasonry and a degree in Architecture (DPLG). I recently trained as a turner in Autrans to become a potter. I divide my professional time between painting and pottery.
My work traces a bit of my journey in recent years. I claim a figurative approach to evoke life, feelings, emotion. What I live, what I feel and my daily experiences are highly important in my work as a painter and ceramist. I mainly have an approach around women as a common thread.
I wanted to show women in all their states through my paintings, from the static, nostalgic, pensive, sad woman and little by little the woman in movement. The woman begins to dare to move, jump, walk, dance. Movement takes its place through the posture of the character, through the lively and dynamic gesture of the brush, through the colors.
