Discover the contemporary work of Isabelle Vialle
After a dual training in Visual Arts and Fine Arts and experience in animated cinema, I experiment with different mediums and find mine in painting. In Greece I am training in the iconography which allows me to explore light and color after having worked for a long time on earth pigments and darkness of my subjects. Numerous personal and collective exhibitions since 2003 in France and Europe, in galleries, in major trade fairs (May, 109, Comparison, Figuration Critique) and fairs (St'Art Strasbourg, Art Up Lille). Critics' Prize at the Art Cité in 2015.
My work focuses on two themes: roots and stems on the one hand; and humans and their intimate tales on the other.
It was during a stay in Greece that the plant (at the beginning especially the olive tree) began to flourish. took a large place in my work, the dancing trunks and branches with dull tones like the echoes of our knotty and moving bonds.
At the same time, I trained in the iconography that inspired me to approach the figure. This represents the bulk of my production in 2024. Its origin (begun in 2014) comes from a collection of poems by Yves Bonnefoy "Du Mouvement et de l' 39;immobility de Douve", an elusive female figure. From a canvas to a canvas the other these adornments have become the pretext to all kinds of metamorphoses to approach the strangeness of life. of our identity, I try to understand what is knotted and unraveled between fragility and carnal and the power it conceals. Lately the exploration of color allows me to cover them with a dreamlike veil and to tell more subtly this quest by calling on buried memories of the imagery of the ;childhood.
