Since 2001, I have lived on the Basque coast of Landes. Self-taught, but always a passionate exhibition lover, I am introducing myself to exhibitions. painting 10 years ago. My first paintings were initially inspired by local artists, but without ever copying them.

In 2015, I discovered the Soulages museum and Outrenoir. The strength, the luminosity, the nuances of black lead me to decline this non-color, combination of pigments, subject to the whims and demands of light.

Compositions generally monochrome, rarely more than 3 colors, which play with the material: sand, marble powder, structural paste. A preference for variations of blue, and increasingly the use of Payne's gray, this bluish, warm, nuanced gray. and contrast. And always the luminous and dynamic black, never sad, which accompanies it.

Never figurative paintings, without titles, to leave the freedom to it is up to the spectator to see what he is looking for or what is essential to him. him. Subjective view which depends on the vision of each individual. a given moment, evolving, volatile, never definitive.

The latest paintings give great place to randomness: the series of crackles is similar to the journey of life. A medium that we think we dominate but which, subject to natural elements, takes on its independence, and with which, once dry, we will have to come to terms.
