Arriving in France at the age of 3, to join my family from whom I had been separated from a very young age, photography was for me an attempt to restore my family romance, which the ban on returning to Spain, due to our status as political refugees, had undermined.
I started photography at the age of 14. At 16, I set up a small laboratory and sold prints to my high school friends to continue to equip myself with second-hand equipment. A few years later, I made it my profession until the speculative bubble in the market of the art of the 90s, in which I had specialized, explodes and puts an end to it.
In 2016, after obtaining various diplomas (master's degree in educational sciences, psychopedagogy and DESU in psychoanalysis) and around twenty years in specialized education, I left, through early retirement, my job as director of a medico-social establishment to return to the profession of photographer.
These three In recent years, I have decided to devote more time to personal photographic work. At the same time, I give individual courses in photography and retouching, and actively participate in the organization of the Azimutés d’Uzès Photo Biennale, within the collegiate management of which I am a member.
From my period of shooting and silver halide printing, during which I was nourished by the plastic and composition of more than 2,000 paintings by masters and various works, I have retained a great versatility and technical knowledge, particularly useful for a mastered practice of shooting and digital retouching.
My shooting techniques favor the movement of the camera. I mainly use long exposures, in particular ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and the fusion, when shooting, of multiple takes.
My approach is between street photography and reporting, I am attached to to give each image, individually, its own plastic and narrative existence.
In 2024, winner of the Canon/Fisheye competition “ Light on color”, my work was exhibited at the Rencontres d’Arles.
