Lili Red: A self-taught journey into the world of abstract
Born in Toulouse, Lili Red, real name Jamyla Gomzi, grew up between Paris and London. A self-taught painter, she discovered her passion for painting in 2000 during an exhibition, a defining moment that would awaken in her a true artistic vocation. Lili Red first explored several styles such as landscape and still life, but it was in abstract art that she truly found her way.
Her artistic work is characterized by a limitless freedom of expression, an approach where each brushstroke and each color form a unique language, intended to arouse emotions in the viewer. For her, abstraction is a way of transcribing what cannot be said with words. Self-taught at heart, she has perfected her skills over the years, experimenting with several techniques, from oil to acrylic, to better transcribe her creative visions.
Today, Lili Red aspires to share this passion through her works, each canvas becoming a vibrant expression of her emotions. Her goal is to take the observer on a journey through abstract worlds, where form and content meet to create living and inspiring works.
My goal today is to convey this emotion and breathe a little bit of myself into each of my works.
