Discover the contemporary work of Jazz Blaise où ( Blaise Bukasa)

Congolese multidisciplinary painter born in 1988 in Kinshasa. From a young age, the artistic environment attracted him. He learned his trade in music from the age of 6. Musician and singer from the age of 7 until today.

It was in primary school that his talent as a designer was discovered by imitating live models. He also often practices plastic arts at home since he was 8 years old. His parents identified in him a personality always gifted in plastic arts and music.

This is how at the secondary level they decided to enroll him at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kinshasa for 4 years. In his 5th year he chose to leave this training to follow a scientific course in chemistry-biology, at the end of which he obtained his baccalaureate in chemistry biology.

More than ever gifted for the arts, he then returned to this artistic world. He completed his university studies at the ACADEMY of FINE ARTS in KINSHASA, where he developed interior architecture until obtaining a bachelor's degree.

After his studies, he began working as an interior designer, painter, and musician, but he did not consider himself a simple visual artist and graphic designer: his status as a multidisciplinary artist gained notoriety and allowed him to complete training in Responsible Global Design at the AUTOGRAF School of Fine Arts in PARIS in 2017.

In 2019, Blaise joined the Radio Campus d'Orléans association and hosts the LAFIRSTORL'ANS show. He is committed throughout 2019, and for 2020, to the associative radio, by offering on-air interviews with guests, showcases with musicians, and original radio content related to local cultural news. His reliability and professionalism have made him a trustworthy person: Blaise Bukasa has, over the years, become a very active volunteer in the association.

It is From 2021 he honors his first studio orders. He works in his style: portraits, in realistic, figurative form, animals, female portraits, characters, luminous paintings, where living colors are composed in harmony. When his schedule allows, he tries his hand at acrylic, he gains confidence, allows himself without putting himself in limits. He refines his technique, works long hours in his studio and begins to expand his catalog of creations.

From 2023 he combines musical activities and painting, as a matter of course. Constantly seeking recognition, he finds it with the public during his performances.

His status as a painter and performing musician acquires notoriety and allows him to perform his shows and exhibit his paintings on major French stages during remarkable events, such as the 7th edition of the " Festival C'est pas du luxe" in Avignon in 2024, where he exhibits his works in the Cloicirc;tre Saint Louis gallery, while participating in a few local exhibitions in Chartres. He lets his creativity express itself by continuing painting and music.

In 2024 he exhibited his drawings at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Chartres. He also performed there as a musician and singer on the occasion of the 8th edition of the World Day of the Poor with the Jubiléo ensemble.

Not holding himself back in terms of creation, he produced his works in just a few weeks in a way that was both totally intuitive and mastered.

Blaise wants to offer his originality to inspire, in each and every one, the birth of emotions, energies and feelings specific to life

My art is above all an emotional and spiritual language, a way of translating my feelings and inspirations into shapes and colors. Colors and light are the essential elements to express multiple living realities.

My palettes are often bright, inspired by contemporary African landscapes and different European cities.

My works are in perpetual movement. We easily recognize my style, the perspectives, the varied compositions, the lighting, the colors, the reflections, the shadows, the volumes.

Through my works, I seek to establish a silent dialogue with the viewer, awakening sensations and emotions in him. I invite him to immerse himself in these sensitive resonances. It is a language of the soul, which touches the public through my sensitivity.

Thus my artistic approach is not fixed in a form or a style, but it is a continuous quest.

My art is a space of creativity, it is the means by which I am inspired by reality and advance beyond it.
