Discover the contemporary work of JB - José Bachir

A self-taught artist-photographer, José BACHIR expresses his feelings and vision through photography in the form of realistic abstraction.
Throughout his travels, particularly in Greece and the Cyclades, he was struck by the harmony of colors, the purity of forms, and the intensity of the light.
Cycladic architecture then became his first major source of inspiration, nourishing his work and awakening his creativity. Over time, his approach evolved, exploring new spaces and enriching his artistic language.
He plays with light and reflections, creating illusions and changing perspectives.
His works capture the interaction between light, structure, and reflections to compose abstract images that question our perception of reality. His keen eye for detail shines through in the care taken with shapes, colors, and contrasts, where geometric rigor and sensitivity harmoniously intertwine.
For José Bachir, the essence of his work lies in sharing a singular vision. He invites everyone to take a different look at their environment, to see beyond the visible.
This is why some of his works are untitled, leaving everyone free to interpret.
As Henry David Thoreau said: "It's not what you look at that matters, but what you see"...
Self-taught, I discovered photography, a discipline that awakened my senses, made me want to share it, and offered me a different perspective on the world.
