The works of Jean-François Luyé are intimately linked to his quest for balance.
This is what he wants to share with us by mixing golden emotions on surfaces modeled by life.
From the initial figurative in 2014 whereù with a palette limited to blue and yellow he creates sets as pure as they are intense, following, from 2016, abstraction with constructions based on base of geometric stacks.
These are the metaphor-forms of his quest for the balance attainable through the repetition of gestures. The center of the paintings shows the door that we can reach to continue our quest for happiness.
The representation of light is omnipresent. It changes from yellow pigment to the golden leaf, from the central solar circle to the a global light show. The golden leaf creates a link, revealing light as well as the fragility of nature. of life when it cracks on matter.
Avid autodidact, he advances by « "trial and error", he experiments with materials and gestures, paints, brushes, streaks, sculpts.
More than a plastic research, the painter expresses his inner journey through each new painting. He lets his emotions, the chapters of his life and the new paths of possibilities speak.
If the source of inspiration is internal, the perspective of others matters just as much. The painter seeks the sharing of emotions, he listens to others. À the opposite on a solitary quest, he wishes for traveling companions.
