Discover the contemporary work of CELEREAU
Jean-Luc Céléreau de Clercq is a Visual Artist, Architect and Designer trained at ESA and CNAM, recognized for 30 years as a pioneer in the architecture of Travel Retail & Entertainment.
His complementary artistic curriculum at ESAM led him from 1977 to 1980 to two Masters of 20th century painting. Michel Sementzeff taught him poetry through drawing, Jean Langlois took him on the search for fundamental aesthetics through figurative painting.
JLCdeC's work is a dialogue between the immediacy of movement and its poetic sensitivity. Each of his creations translates into an emotional language, the perception of his environment with a writing that combines Ancient Art with Modernity.
Based on a contemplative reading, we perceive in his work an aesthetic research where the form is sufficient in itself. His work is precise figurative and punctuated with sensuality.
He explores the science of modeling and additive manufacturing, he associates charcoal drawing with the stylus of his graphic tablet, he opposes natural pigment to oil painting, he gives his creations both their character and their quivering flexibility. He has the ability to sublimate women in a few strokes. His creative force is this alchemy generated by the resonance of light with matter. Depending on the artistic subject he undertakes to work on, he chooses to express himself according to the techniques he masters: sculpture, drawing, painting, decoration, multimedia, photography.
