« Originally from Franche-Comté, a land of snow and harshness, educated in Besançon, a historic city surrounded by the halos of Victor Hugo and the Lumière Brothers, I grew up through and in the joint admiration of the works of Gustave Courbet and the Master Watchmakers who made the city's reputation throughout Europe. After obtaining a literary baccalaureate with honors then a year of wandering in economics course, I studied the technique of cinema at the CLCF (Free Conservatory of French Cinema), which awarded me a BTS, then its more volatile data, history(ies) and theory(ies), at the University of Paris-VIII. I soon discovered other artistic disciplines which I learned on my own, particularly the plastic arts during the two years when I was a salesman for the Graphigro brand, and, as a seasoned traveler as well as one nourished by a long stay in India, I then endeavored to trace a personal creative line through the enclaves of a video production nourished by multiple graphic, photographic, musical & literary experiences. I call this particular path the "encyclopedic temptation". "
The story of a metamorphosis, in a way. Cinema that becomes reality and/or vice versa. Cinema as an autoclave of life. Cinema as a playground. Because all the same, between recreation, entertainment, stupefaction, exploitation of man by man, of the planet by man, of man by war on the one hand, and on the other hand, a medium of anticipation in the primary sense (knowledge is action), a support for divination, spiritualism, a true act of faith, a solid proof of love, an instrument of philosophical reflection, an introspective arsenal or even a factor of reality progressed by the transmission of knowledge and the elevation of the level of consciousness that it allows, the possibilities of cinema are more than immense: in reality infinite as is the case for any form of art - and what about science which sometimes borders on art unless it is art which can be practiced like science. However, from Andrei Tarkovsky to Leni Riefenstahl via Cocteau, Besson and Dupontel, there comes a time when one must (really) choose. Because otherwise, censorship decides and the public bleeds.
