Jorge Matheus was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After completing his studies at the National School of Fine Arts, his artistic desires lead him to experiment, learn, be inspired and move around the world. Leaving his native country, he landed first in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and then traveling to Paris, where he lived. almost 3 years.
During your stay there He was involved in different projects always in connection with art and starring in exhibitions with his works. After his experience in France, he settled in Madrid, where he began to work in the publishing world, illustrating books, working as a graphic designer and, as an artistic exploratory form, working with photography. His works are or have been exhibited in Brazil, Portugal, France and Spain.
His journey is palpable in him and in his works, offering a mix of colors, cultures, trends and styles.
It shows free and unpretentious art, it does not judge, it does not educate, it does not try to denounce or raise awareness among the viewer. Rather, it tries to summon those who look, provoking themselves. there is an impact. That which impacts the person who looks and makes it their own, converging the expression of the artist with the subjectivity of the viewer. That is the production of an artist who uses various techniques and materials and who transmits his idea on canvas, book, in digital format using even recycled material.

A big part of art is being a creator and not losing your childhood.
