Discover the contemporary work of Jose Juan Gimeno

A draftsman by profession, he entered the Barreira Art School in 1975.  In 2008, he dedicated his artistic activity full time, completing a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Since 2009 he has participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions and international fairs, Art Madrid, Estampa, Just Lisboa (Portugal), ArtUp Lille (France).   He has been selected for many awards, of which he has been awarded in several.   

 Painting is his main creative expression but he also converges between video and installation.

He immerses himself in architecture as the anthropological reference of his expressions to create his space, inviting the viewer to want to get closer to unravel small elements that make up a global work. His proposal is to use materials and techniques outside the field of painting such as methacrylate and screen printing, proposing a collage of techniques and materials.
