Brief resume

Self-taught painter. 71 years old. Fond of painting and photography since adolescence with several individual and group exhibitions. Co-founder in 1979 of the Extremeña Photographic Group.

I have always moved in abstraction, mainly in the line of expressionism, sometimes bordering on informalism and gestures. 

I fundamentally work with mixed techniques, using, almost always on board, acrylic paint and varnish, with textures based on plaster, cement mortar, plaster, inks, polyurethane and cardboard paste.

During my first period my concern was almost exclusively chromatic, this reducing with maturity, in a simplification tending towards the use of tonal evaluations, fundamentally based on ochre, earth tones. , black and white, with a profusion of textures, using both solid and liquid matter. I prefer to work in large formats, although due to space limitations, I make them all.

I currently reside in Jerez de la Frontera and I try to paint every day, constituting for me, painting, an uncontrollable and irreversible passion.
