Discover the contemporary work of Karine Meyer

A multidisciplinary visual artist, Karine Meyer navigates between painting, installation, and photography, exploring the interactions between matter, light, and the senses. Her work, marked by a constant search for balance between the visible and the invisible, questions perception and memory.
Throughout her works, she manipulates pigments, textures, and media to create spaces where matter becomes vibration. Her approach, influenced by her keen eye as a makeup artist and hairstylist for film, reveals a particular attention to the play of light, transparencies, and shadows, giving her work a his compositions have an almost cinematic depth.
Each work is a sensory exploration, a dialogue between textures and transparencies, shadows and sparkles. Inspired by wonder and light, I create pictorial worlds where emotion takes precedence over form, where abstraction rubs shoulders with a reminiscence of reality.
As a child, on the beach, I would squint at the sun, watching an explosion of colors burst forth.
