Trained to At the Ecole des Beaux-Arts du Havre, my favorite theme revolves around “knots”; that we can have either in the head or in the soul.... So I started a process of working on matter, its trace and its imprint, for which I use different mediums such as l’ oil, acrylic, inks, sand, coating, wax...
I combine contrasts and transparency, depth and power of colors, calligraphy and material effects to achieve a perfect result. a proposition made to the spectator: freedom; total freedom to let your imagination wander wildly. through my paintings, so that he himself becomes an actor and screenwriter.
Each painting is an adventure, where nothing is decided at the start, where the first material laid, will be similar to that of the previous material. the first stone of a building; It will call another, which itself will call another medium, another tint, another imprint.
I only follow these guides, as one follows footprints in the sand, without ever really knowing or where. nor where they will take me, nor what I will find there. the outcome.
Work, mix, melt the mediums, so that they unite or clash, and offer them, through my hand, the opportunity to describe their own story.
My current job, « After the Rain » and especially the series « My Little Red Umbrella and “Late Night”” are articulated in this constant dynamic of search for new techniques and new supports to perhaps get out of the box....
