Discover the contemporary work of Karl-die Bildermacherin
In civilian life I am Karl Heinz Brudke, who turned 70 in March 2022.
Somehow I always wanted to be creative, wanted to design something, create something. Maybe that's exactly why I trained as a plasterer and, after completing my training as a master plasterer, stucco sculptor and restorer in the plastering trade, I carried out this profession independently as a trainer and lecturer at the Bauakademie Hessen-Thüringen e.V. Since September 2015, however, I have been mostly retired from work and can increasingly do what I always wanted to do.
- Creating works as an artist - without having to worry about whether I can earn money with what I do. Being creative, just for fun and for the joy of doing it. Just as it comes to mind
Capturing nature in pictures, documenting it photographically as it shows itself in all its beauty, is an art.
Showing nature in pictures, as I like it, is my „ART of nature”.
A photographer who captures nature in a masterly manner; No, that's not me. I am "Karl-the picture maker". An artist who wants to show nature in his own way in his pictures. I am not driven by the search for the unique motif, for the spectacle staged by nature. I am fascinated by the nature we see every day. A nature like the one we encounter when we walk in the park, in the garden, in the forest and fields or in the flowers on the windowsill, in changing times of day and seasons. I want to process the nature that is visible there in my own way, in and for my pictures. I want to capture the images created by nature photographically and digitally influence them as I see fit. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I want to change the light, color, texture. I don't want to document. No, I want to show nature in my pictures, according to my taste. Inspired by nature, create pictures that meet my feelings, my creativity.
Why? Because I want to show that pictures are more than just capturing what is "objectively visible"
Why? Because I want to draw attention to the wonderful world of nature in my own way.
Why? Because I like to process and show nature in my pictures in my own way.
My tools: - Digital camera, digital image processing and creativity.
My style: - Nature in pictures - naturalistic - expressionistic - modern - impressionistic - surreal - abstract - whatever.
I make a picture - the way I like it.
