Declared as a painter since the summer of 2023, I have, since my adolescence, developed a special relationship with impressionist painting, shooting and technology for modifying these shots. When my life path led me to make a choice beneficial to all aspects of my personality, I chose to express myself through painting on large-format canvas
Simple modern and classical artistic complexity, this is how I will soberly and vulgarly describe my style of pictorial creation. Despite the absence of a learning course in painting, I chose to embark on this adventure as an autodidact thanks to everything I learned throughout my professional, cultural, and personal experiences.
In my adolescence, I had a crush on the works of the great impressionist painters, such as Van Gogh, Degas, Cézanne, Monet but without ever pushing further than an Atlas collection of great impressionist works. Later, with the popularization of shooting technologies, I began to have affinities for photography, favoring the capture of a moment, an attitude, a point of view, a landscape while avoiding banality, but there too without developing the artistic approach further. Then came the time when I invested myself in learning intensive computing and a lot of time in the imaginary world of video games, cinema, and theater, and with this clever mix of technology and imagination I began to to feel an artist's soul being born in me, a strange lover of beautiful things, of quality, and which make one feel emotions that the daily grind veils with needs for acts, apparently, hard, boring and almost soulless.
So when it was necessary to make a choice of life which could suit on the one hand my artist's soul, and on the other hand the need to generate a substantial income to allow my soul sister and my children to benefit from all these magnificent artistic, natural, technological, and/or human works which the world abounds with, painting on canvas attracted me. energetically (and yes I am also sensitive to the telluric energies that surround us ...), and without artistic training, how to do it?
So I combined my knowledge, photographic and computer, to create first images that I wanted to paint but without going through the first pencil strokes for which, I admit, I have little talent. So I found a way to transcribe my images with the outlines without colors, print them on a large format canvas, then add colors of my choice and get as close as possible to what I expect from my work.
I want to create as many works as possible on large format canvas, first in acrylic, but in the future in painting with oil, to live from my art on the one hand, and on the other hand, participate in the myriad of contemporary works of art that the world offers us, leave even a small trace in the history of my future genealogy, and perhaps, I hope, open a way for other potential self-taught painter artists...
